ACM-W members attends 2013 Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing
"I met a lot of really amazing women at the conference who are leaders at what they do. I was particularly inspired by people who time and time again were told that they shouldn't be taking on leadership positions and yet continued to do so because they believed in their own work", said Ohio State alumna Arathi Mani, "The theme of this year's conference was "Think Big. Drive Forward" and I learned that with the right attitude and support group, women can really do amazing things."
This is the second consecutive year that Ohio State was able to send a significant number of women to the Celebration, and ACM-W hopes to continue this tradition with the 2014 Celebration in Phoenix, Arizona. Each year the conference grows in size, with last year breaking records at over 4,750 people from around the world.
