A compendium of supporting materials together called the CSE 222 Course Packet may be purchased from the UniPrint location on the east side of the Tuttle Park Place parking garage, or it may be ordered on-line at http://uniprint.osu.edu. All this material -- as well as course policies, syllabus, assignments, etc., which are not included in the course packet -- is available on-line: the entire packet as a PDF file via this link (about 25 MB), and the separate pieces via links from the SCE Home Page and below. Do you really need to buy the packet, given that it's also available on-line? It is highly recommended. This packet is far less expensive than a typical textbook, and it contains not only the reading material for CSE 222 such as the textbook Software Component Engineering Using Resolve/C++, but also places for you to take notes on code examples and copies of Powerpoint slides that might be used in class. If you decide later it would be handy to print some of this material, and if you use your own printer to do so, you probably will end up spending more money on printing supplies than on the packet. Worse yet, if you try to use your CSE account to print it, then you probably will end up exceeding your print quota -- and recovering from that will cost far more than the packet.
