Curriculum Committee ("CC") Minutes for 17 January 1995

Attending:  Kerr, May, Ogden, Perlman, Soundararajan, Weide, Yagel, Zhao


1. Discussion of proposed capstone design course for HW/SW option
   
   Feng presented a proposal for such a course that would be based on 
   MIT's popular 6.270 "lego robot" course.  The committee members
   provided a list of questions for Feng's subcommittee to examine
   and answer, after which the proposal will come back to the committee
   for a vote later this quarter.
  
2. Discussion of proposed updates to the computer graphics courses
  
   Roni presented a proposal to update the official descriptions and
   syllabi for CIS 681, 781, 782, and 783.  In addition, the proposal
   called for increasing the number of credit hours for 681 from 3
   to 4.  The committee members provided a list of questions for Roni's
   subcommittee to examine and answer before the January 24 meeting.
