I am a Ph.D candidate in the Department of Computer Science at The Ohio State University . I am a member of the Network Based Computing Lab and expect to defend my thesis by December 2007. My adviser is Prof. Dhabaleswar K. Panda.
I received B. Tech. from Department of Computer Engineering at Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University. After joining Ohio State in Fall 2002, i have interned at the Software and Technology Group, IBM, Austin during summer 2005. During summer 2006, i was an intern at IBM Poughkeepsie. Before joining Ohio State, I have interned at National University of Singapore and Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
My dissertation focus is to design "High Performance and Network Fault Tolerant MPI with Multi-Pathing over InfiniBand". During the last couple of years, i have worked on projects related to designing efficient substrates for multi-rail clusters, avoiding hot-spots and leveraging InfiniBand mechanisms for network fault tolerance. The results of these works are available in an open source with MVAPICH/MVAPICH2, high performance MPI over InfiniBand implmentation from our group. MVAPICH/MVAPICH2 have helped many supercomputers achieve TOP500 rankings. The current users include 500 organizations from 33 countries, ranging from national labs, academia and industry.
Recently, I have received an IBM PhD Fellowship Award (Academic Year 2006-2007). I have also received nomination for the best paper award with the paper : "Hot-Spot Avoidance with multi-pathing over InfiniBand: An MPI Perspective". I have also been listed in Who's who in America (2007).
Thanks for visiting my Home-Page, I hope that you will come back soon!
