I am a 4th year undergraduate in Computer Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University. I currently work for CETI where I am leading a team that is developing an Android version of the iShoe iPhone app.
Experience
- 1 year with CETI where I:
- worked with a small group to implement the iShoe iPhone app in Objective-C with a PHP and mySQL backend
- captured Buckeye football video footage from the JumboTron at the 'Shoe to be used on the iShoe mobile website and the iShoe app
- lead a team that is porting the iShoe app to Android and improving it
- 1 year at the Sociology Research Lab at The Ohio State University where I:
- worked with small mySQL databases
- designed web pages in PHP and HTML
- implemented parsing scripts in Perl
About iShoe
iShoe started out as a mobile website that was based on Purdue's eStadium. It was then turned into a native iPhone app by creating a new frontend design and making a modified backend that returns the appropriate data for the app in JSON format allowing it to be easily parsed. Now, the app is being ported to Android where the frontend is being modified to be more "Android-ish" and certain features are being improved. iShoe has been mentioned in several newspaper articles and on the news, here are links to a few of them:
