I have graduated from OSU with my Ph.D. I was a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University. My advisor was Professor Xiaodong Zhang. I was a member of HPCS lab. I received my B.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of Science and Technology of China, M.S. degree in Computer Science from Bowling Green State University, and M.S. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University, respectively. Before joining The Ohio State University, I was a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science at the College of William and Mary.
I am interested in research problems in the Internet, networking, distributed systems, and operating systems. My major research activities cover the following specific topics:
Shansi Ren, Qun Li, Haining Wang, Xin Chen, and Xiaodong Zhang, "Design and Analysis of Sensing Scheduling Algorithms under Partial Coverage for Object Detection in Sensor Networks", in IEEE Transaction on Parallel and Distributed Systems (TPDS), Volume 18, Number 3, March 2007.
