Lab Grading

Grading Procedure: Labs will be demoed to the grader. Sign up sheets will be provided to schedule the demo times. No late labs will be considered - demo to the grader whatever you have done at the time of the demo.

Project Grading: Most of the lab grade will be based on the final version of the lab at the end of the quarter. However, in order to promote timely progression on the lab, student tendencies being what they are, there will be two in progress evaluations of the lab progress during the quarter. Notice that lab grading is cumulative - you are graded on the complete (cumulative) state of your lab at each grading evaluation. If you don't get something working that you previously lost point on, you will probably lose points on it again at the next grading evaluation.

Collaborating on the Labs: Discussion of the labs among class members is expected, even encouraged. However, when it comes to writing the lab, do your own work. Labs too similar will be considered as evidence of academic misconduct and submitted to the appropriate review process.

Team Projects: The standard procedure will be each student doing their own set of labs. However, if some particular group of students has an overwhelming desire to work together, then see me about designing lab specifications for the group.
