Exit Survey for Students Obtaining the BSCSE (Computer Science and Engineering) Degree from the Department of Computer and Information Science

Thank you in advance for taking this survey, and for your thoughtful responses. We appreciate your help in assessing how well the stated educational objectives of the CIS Department, for students receiving the BSCSE degree, have been met in your particular case.

We ask for your social security number for tracking purposes only, so we can make sure that all CSE-graduates-to-be fill out the survey. All analysis will be done without reference to you or any other individual. The information you provide will be kept confidential, and the results will be made available only in the form of statistical summaries from which it will be impossible to identify your individual responses. If you have any questions about this survey (for example, if you would like to use an individualized code number in place of your social security number for tracking purposes), please contact Peg Steele (DL 374; 292-1900; peg@cis.ohio-state.edu).

Instructions for CSE Program Objectives Survey

This survey is about you personally, not about the general population of CSE students. So, for each primary objective and its subobjectives, please select (from the corresponding option menus to the right of each program objective) the two responses that best reflect your feelings, opinions, and experience.

  1. We are asking you to tell us how well each CSE program objective was met for you personally. Using the first column of option menu selections, indicate the extent to which you agree with the following statement: "This program objective has been met for me personally."
  2. In order to help us make best use of your survey answers, we are also asking how important the particular objective was for you personally. Using the second column of option menu selections, please indicate your assessment of the importance of the objective.
