CSE Manager/Supervisor Survey Response Summary

Each academic year, College of Engineering alumni who graduated fifteen years prior to that year, and who can now be expected to be in managerial/supervisory positions are surveyed to see what, in their opinion, are the most important skills, abilities, and attributes that we should try to ensure in future CSE graduates.

There are two parts to the survey. The first part asks the respondent to rank, on a scale of Not Important through Extremely Important, the Importance of each specified outcome. The second part of the survey asks the respondent to rank, on a scale of Not Prepared through Very Well Prepared, how well prepared they felt the OSU graduates they supervise were, with respect that specific item.

Tabular summaries of the results of the survey are available. Note that the bar-graphs displaying the results of the various surveys don't display well in some browsers; please check the numerical results printed next to the bar-graphs to be sure of the actual values.

The managers/supervisors were also asked to provide any additional comments and suggestions that they felt would be appropriate. These comments are not summarized here, but will be discussed at meetings of the Undergraduate Studies Committee of the Department.
