About the course:

The course is a focused seminar on cutting-edge information retrieval (IR) topics. It will cover papers on selected topic areas in IR.

Format:

Each regular class consists of a 35 minute student presentation and a 15 minute discussion session.

Grading:

Grading will be mainly based on participation and presentation/critiques. Every student is required to give a presentation or write two critiques for the papers discussed in the lecture.
