A Production Path

An approach similar to the following one is used at River Valley Technologies [1].
  • A LaTeX file is provided to the company
  • The report is translated with TeX4ht into an in-house XML code
  • XSLT is utilized to obtain a LaTeX file
  • Human intervention is applied to ensure the in-house and original LaTeX files produce compatible PDF documents, and to introduce fixes where needed
  • The in-house LaTeX file is translated with TeX4ht into XHTML+MathML
  • The customer gets and archives the XHTML+MathML code
  • River Valley Technologies archives the “standardized” in-house LaTeX file (note that some markup is typically lost in conversions)
