The contest will consist of two parts: an algorithms invitational as part of Microsoft's Imagine Cup, and a more in-depth ACM programming puzzle. This invitational is for the curious and quick thinker. It starts with an online 30 minute challenge where we throw everything at you from brain teasers, to algorithm analysis, to whatever else we can dream up. You just sit there and do what you do best The ACM picked puzzle will require contestants to solve an extremely interesting problem and generate working code for their solution. We can have a maximum of 20 students per session (two are planned now, but this can be increased). Pizza and drinks will be provided for participants and prizes will be given to those who score the best. Lots of fun will be had by all! Come compete against your friends and make some new ones! For more information, to sign up, and sample questions check out http://www.imaginecup.com/algorithm.aspx If you'd like to participate, email schwaberow.2@osu.edu and choose a day (Tuesday or Wednesday) that you'd like to participate. Location: CL 112 PC Lab Date: March 30/31, 2004 Time: 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Hope to see you at the contest! Jeffrey Mathew. President - OSU ACM |
