This is for roadrunner/dsl/etc users that wish to remotely log into unix. It uses MS Internet Explorer and no software download is necessary. It’s very easy.

• Connect to gamma.cis.ohio-state.edu via telnet
• Login then type ‘subscribe’
• Subscribe to CONTRIB
• Press ‘q’ to exit the menu
• Type ‘exit’ to logout
• Log back in, then type ‘vncserver’
• It will give you a two digit port number xx
• Type ‘http://gamma.cis.ohio-state.edu:58xx’ into web browser

Make sure to exit out by pressing the “disconnect” button.
