EM – Examination by Credit for CSE 200
and CSE 101 is available.
CSE101 -
CSE 101 offers an EM exam - 4 credit hours equivalent. This exam is given in two parts - a written exam and a lab exam given to only those who pass the written exam. The exam is proctored by the course coordinator and given only in weeks 2-10 of each quarter. . A student must receive a grade of 80% to pass the written exam - with minimum scores for each topic.
The content of this exam includes general computer topics,
word processing (Word), presentation graphics (PowerPoint), spreadsheets (Excel)
and databases (Access). The emphasis
of the course is on solving problems using spreadsheets and databases. A detailed list of topics, sample problems and
other course materials can be found on the CIS101web site at www.cse.ohio-state.edu/cse101. It is recommended that you go through the course
notes before attempting the exam. Notes are available through copy-ez for about $20. Copies
are also available for loan from the course coordinator. To access the website
