The seed vigor test is useful for many areas in Seed Science and Technology.

Establish seed quality standards (speed and uniformity)
Clarify differences in seed vigor among varieties
Test under stress, different climates, regions, and treatments
Inventory management

We have been developing a computerized system for assisting seed analysts for testing seed vigor of various crops.  Strength of our system includes the following aspects.

Objective tests can be performed. 
One score in [0, 1000] range (representing speed and uniformity of growth) is computed.
Human-in-the-loop system: An interactive system in which analysts verify the computer output and correct errors, if any.
Test results and images can be saved for future analysis and references.
