Content Description
: This course covers contemporary issues on geometric modeling.
Topics include representation of flexible shapes,
time-varying objects, image and shape deformation,
shape abstraction, topological analysis of shapes,
terrain modeling, shape from silhouette problems,
and biomedical applications.

Prerequisites:
CIS781 or CIS783 or permission of instructor;
Some background in image processing will be an asset,
although not required.
You are supposed to be familiar with Unix and C.

: Same as Instructor.

Grading
The seminar is project-oriented.
Each participant is supposed to develop a certain component
of the software system we are building at the time of the seminar.
We will discuss with each participant what component
is to be carried out in the beginning of the quarter.
The course is graded by S/U.
The grade S is given if the part you are responsible
works to a satisfactory degree.
If not, U or I is given, dependent on how much it works.
