Syllabus
The goal of this course is to provide experience in building a larger scale automatic speech recognition system. Course participants taking this course for credit are expected to contribute to the overall goal of building a speech recognition system; the entire group will focus on building a single system. Students taking 1 credit will be expected to do 2 hours of work/week outside of class; 2 credits entails 5 hours of work/week. Auditors/non-students are welcome.

The syllabus of this course is not fixed; it will depend on input from the participants. Some weeks we will have readings; other weeks we will focus on issues and solving problems that crop up in the work outside class.

Prerequisites: Students should have taken either CIS 788K04, or EE 802. Others may be admitted to the class, but will have to do some catch-up reading.

This course is repeatable for credit, and will continue to meet in subsequent quarters (possibly summer?).
