CSE 794L Final Project Writeup
Due 15 March 2005, 11:30 AM (SHARP!)
Submit by email, in person, or in my mailbox.
The final project writeup should follow the format of the talk that
you gave in class in large part (although you probably will have
completed it at this point!). I expect that the paper will be well
written (i.e., it should be proofread), and that it describes the work
that you did in full detail. You do not need to submit any code.
Like the talk, the points that I want you to cover are as follows
(with a bit of variation):
- What is the problem you are addressing?
- What are the resources you are using?
- Papers, data, toolkits, ...?
- What is the approach you are taking?
- Did you develop a new algorithm or implement someone else's (CITATIONS!)
- How did you evaluate your work?
- What did you hope to learn in the end?
- Did you actually learn this?
- Did you learn something else along the way?
- What were the scientific hypotheses you tested?
- What was the experience you gained?
- Was this interesting to you?
- What could you have done further? or differently?
Papers are due at 11:30 AM SHARP on Tuesday, March 15th (end of the
final exam period). Expected length is on the order of 5-10 pages.
Don't go way over, but if you need to go over by a page or two it's
ok.
