Scholarships for CIS/CSE majors
Each spring, the Computer Science and Engineering Department
offers several one year scholarships with the intent of recognizing
and encouraging excellence in the study of computing. The awards
range from $500-$1500. Eligible candidates must
meet the following criteria: be enrolled in the major of CSE or
CIS; be a rank 3 or 4; be graduating no sooner than the spring
of the current academic year; have completed at least 16 credit
hours in CSE at OSU; be pursuing their first baccalaureate degree.
To apply for these awards, CSE majors must file an on-line application. The details are available at http://engineering.osu.edu/scholarships/current-students. All CSE students who wish to apply for a CSE scholarship must do so via the process described at that page. All eligible Engineering majors and pre-majors are encouraged to complete the application by the deadline of midnight March 1, 2012.
CIS majors should apply using this application form and submit them to the Advising Office by March 1, 2012. Note that these forms are for use only by CIS majors. CSE majors, as specified in the paragraph above, must follow the process described at the web site listed in the above paragraph.
Announcements of the scholarship awardees are made at the annual CSE Banquet held during spring quarter.
Other scholarships are available to undergraduates interested in pursuing research. See the research section for details.
