BS CSE: Prerequisites for Admission to the CSE Major

The current prerequisites for admission to the CSE major are:

  1. Completion of CSE 221, and 222 with at least C- in each.

  2. Completion of Math 151 and 152.

  3. Completion of Physics 131.

  4. Completion of Phys 132 or Chem 121.

  5. Completion of English 110.

  6. A CPHR of at least 2.0 with at least 25 credit hours earned at Ohio State (see enrollment limits).

  7. An MPHR (major point hour ratio) over CSE courses that can be included in the major program of at least 2.0.

  8. Completion of all admission conditions (this refers to conditions that may have been imposed when the student was admitted to OSU).
If you have met these requirements, or will meet them this quarter, please see an undergraduate academic advisor in the Advising Office to apply to be admitted to the major.
