Software Component Engineering Course Sequence Textbooks

Textbooks for the Software Component Engineering course sequence are under development.  The most recent draft versions, Software Development Using Components -- Getting Started (for CSE 221) and Software Component Engineering With Resolve/C++ (for CSE 222; some appendices also used in CSE 221, and CSE 321), are printed and sold at a reasonable price by OSU Uniprint in the Tuttle Parking Garage location.  An on-line version of each textbook is made available as a convenience: consult it if you don't have your printed version handy and/or you need to find something and can't locate it using the table of contents.  You can also use the "Find" command and other tools in your favorite PDF reader to search the on-line version.

Please note that there are two basic restrictions on the use of each on-line textbook:

• You should not print it. If you need a printed version, get it from Uniprint.  If you print much of the book, then you'll simply use up your print quota for the quarter.  Recovering from this will end up costing you about 10 times as much as buying the document.
• You may not copy any part of it in any form whatsoever, except for your own personal use, without the express written consent of the author.
