So what is the IEEE CS? Well, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is an international organization that is the "leading authority in technical areas". The Computer Society is the "leading provider of technical information and services to the world's computing professionals".  IEEE sets standards that are used throughout the world.

We are simply the student chapter, sponsered by the Columbus IEEE CS Chapter and the Ohio State University
CIS Department.

We are proud to offer the students of OSU the oppertunity to join the Computer Society through our local student chapter. Membership not only offers you the usual national IEEE and IEEE Computer Society benefits and a means to meet fellow students with similar interests, but it also gives you the edge in finding and meeting local companies interested in your talents and future employment.
