The BME/CSE joint Master's degree program combines studies in biomedical engineering and computing. Students tend to focus on aspects of computer science directly related to ongoing biomedical engineering research projects.
The BS/MS program allows undergraduates to start their Master's degree in their senior year and apply some courses to both their Bachelor and Master's degrees.
Under the Graduate School guidelines, students may propose their own dual programs of study between CSE and other relevant departments. Such dual programs are subject to approval by the involved departments and the Graduate School.
Some graduate students wish to pursue a second graduate degree in CSE independent from their studies in their home department. The CSE department has formulated guidelines for doing so. Approval from the home department is required.
