Christine Morin
I'm a Computer Science Engineering Major. I started at OSU in 1998 and
I'm graduating this quarter (Winter 02) with a BSCSE
degree. I've been in Europa for a year or two and I've
finished one project (the bracket checker) and I hope to
finish my second tool (the ampersand checker) sometime this quarter.

Research Interests:
So far, I enjoy writing tools for the RESOLVE/C++ program here at
OSU to be used in emacs in the 221/222/321 sequence.
Since I'm graduating, I will not be pursuing any more Europa projects
once I complete the ampersand checker.
After graduation, I will start working at Microsoft in Redmond,
Washington as a Program Manager in the Windows
Avalon group. I have interned twice at Microsoft,
once as a tester in the Windows System Test Team,
and once as a Program Manager in the Windows Avalon
Networking team.
Current Projects:
- Ampersand Checker
I'm working on a project that, when run, will notify students if they
are incorrectly using an ampersand when
declaring parameters in RESOLVE/C++. I
presented on this project in January and got
some good feedback. I plan on finishing the
project sometime in February 2002.
Completed Projects:
- Bracket Checker
The bracket checker, completed in June 2001, and implemented in Winter
2002, is a tool for the RESOLVE/C++ sequence that can be
run in emacs or from the command line. It checks that
all brackets, quotes, comments, etc. are closed in a
program before the student tries to compile the
project. It helps students find their own errors and
keep them looking for these problems when they code.
