Shawn Hendricks
I am majoring in Computer Science and Engineering through the College
of Engineering at the Ohio State University.

Research Interests:
- I am interested in component technologies such as COM, CORBA, and JavaBeans. The most interesting class I am
taking right now, however is the second artificial intelligence class.
- I plan to continue learning about various component models and working on the Software
Composition Workbench.
Current Projects:
CCD Editor/Browser
- I hope to have a working program completed by the end of the quarter. Over the summer I did some design work
and have a plan of attack. Some of the code is actually written, but is an application and not suitable for use
as an applet. One of the things I intend to do is convert the program to an applet, although it would probably
take some time to download the Swing imports that I am using for the GUI.
Completed Projects:
Learning Java
- As part of the CCD Editor/Browser project, I spent winter quarter 1998 learning the java language. This project
isn't necessarily complete as I continue to learn more about java, but it was a necessary first step to begin working
on the Software Composition Workbench. Sometimes
it seems as thought the Java language is growing and changing faster than I can keep up.
