Travis Grigsby
Hello, I'm Travis. I'm a third year student at OSU, majoring in Computer
Science & Engineering. I am also a grader for CIS 221. Winter 2000 is my
first quarter witht the europa group.
Research Interests:
It's hard to say where my research interests lie at this point, because I've been
in the group for less than a quarter. I am really enjoying my project currently, though.
I want to say that I'm interested in learning about algorithms and such, but in truth,
I want to learn about a variety of programming concepts, and what I want to learn says
nothing about my research interests. Are you tired of me babbling yet?
Current Projects:
-
Two Way Checking Components
I'm currently working on Two Way Checking Components or twcc's. I affectionately call
them twixes, but as far as I can tell, I am the only one. Maybe it will catch on, sigh.
Anyway, twcc's are a means of checking not only the requires clause as normal checking
components do, but also the ensures clause, so violated assertion messages are provided
whenever the operation doesn't do what the specs say. The bottom line is, as far as I know
, that this will make testing a good measure easier in situations where it is applicable.
Want to know more? I can talk about it all day. Email me if you want, but don't expect to
get a word in.
Completed Projects:
Return to Europa
