The winner of the 2003-04 Annual Report Cover Contest is E. J. Sexton. An undergrad, E. J. is a CIS student and is from the Columbus area.

He says about his design, "This cover shows a lens flare across a black backdrop, symbolic of a bright future, technology, etc. Splashed across the top is the title: "Department of Computer Science and Engineering: The Ohio State University" in bold white text designed to draw the eye to it. The words "2003 - 2004 Annual Report" frame the bottom right of the cover. Across the bottom are three pictures of three things that came to mind when designing this cover: Dreese Labs, which I think is a symbol of the CSE Department at OSU; the OSU Seal, because the CSE Department is very much a part of the OSU community; and a keyboard and college-ruled paper, representing the department's academic role at OSU. Source code runs across the middle of the cover, again linking the department to computers, technology, etc."

Congratulations to E. J. and thank you to all the entrants.
