CS&E 200 EM Exam Information

      CS&E 200 offers an EM exam - 5 credit hours equivalent. This exam is given in two parts - a written exam proctored at the University Testing Center and a lab exam given to only those who pass the written exam. Lab exams, given on Office 2007 software, are given only in weeks 2-10 of each quarter. There is a nominal charge to take the written exam. A student must receive a grade of 80% to pass the written exam - with minimum scores for each topic.
    The content of this exam includes general computer topics, word processing (Word), presentation graphics (PowerPoint), spreadsheets (Excel) and databases (Access). The emphasis of the course is on solving problems using spreadsheets and databases. A detailed list of topics, sample problems and other course materials can be found on the CS&E 200 syllabus web site at www.cse.ohio-state.edu/cse200/syllabus.htm. It is recommended that you go through the course notes before attempting the exam. Notes are available through UniPrint for about $20. Copies are also available for loan from the course coordinator.
