CS&E 101 offers an EM exam - 4 credit hours equivalent. This exam is given in two parts - a written exam and a lab exam. A student must receive a grade of 80% to pass the written exam - with minimum scores for each topic. Lab exams are given only in weeks 2-10 of each quarter.
The content of this exam includes general computer topics, word processing (Word),
presentation graphics (PowerPoint), spreadsheets (Excel) and databases (Access).
The emphasis of the course is on solving problems using spreadsheets and databases.

It is recommended that you go through the course notes before attempting the
exam. Notes are available through copy-ez for about $20. Copies are also available
for loan from the course coordinator.
