CSE Grader Information
Graders assist faculty and instructors in grading labs and homeworks for many CSE courses. Both undergraduate and graduate students are hired as graders in CSE. Job Descriptions
- Grader: Assist with programming courses. Assist course instructor with preparation and evaluation of labs and homeworks. Manage grading directory. Meet regularly with course instructor; hold office hours and otherwise meet with students as needed. Average hours per week vary with each course, generally 5-8 hrs/week.
- Grader for RCPP Courses: In addition to the above duties, the Grader attends and helps to conduct closed lab sessions.
Pay Rates
- The pay scale for Graders of 200-400 level courses is $7.50/hour.
- The pay scale for Graders of 500 level and above courses is $8.00/hour.
- In addition, Graders with prior service and good evaluations may receive a service raise of an additional $.50/hour, and
- Graders with excellent evaluations from previous quarters are entitled to an additional merit raise of $.50/hour.
